This map shows the count locations for the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project in Rochester, New York. These counts help to improve the safety of bicyclists and pedestrians and to more effectively improve transportation infrastructure through public and private investment.
The count project is being undertaken by local community members, including members of the Rochester Cycling Alliance, the Rochester Bicycling Club, and others. Counts are taken in January, May, July, and September of each year, on the same days, Nationwide. Results from the First Series of Counts (May, 2012) can be viewed here.
